I am interested in exploring layers of time (existence, nature, culture) using the available evidence which lies quietly all around us.
I like to paint with oil and acrylic, building and layering using paint as a metaphor.

Vincent Cooper studied at Sunderland where he gained a BA (hons) in Fine Art. He is currently based at The Arts Centre Washington in Tyne & Wear where he has had a Studio for the past fourteen years.

As well as creating his own drawings and paintings, he runs many projects in galleries, museums, schools and colleges. He is currently working with a school on a project to produce a stained glass window for their brand new school in South Shields.

Vincent has also taught a range of art and design classes for a number of years.
