Who is it suitable for?

Pottery painting is suitable for everyone, all ages and abilities. It is a great activity for the whole family, in fact, a unique way to spend some quality family time.

What does it cost?

Pottery painting in the studio
The price depends on the item(s) you select to paint.  To give you some idea:-
A coaster or egg cup is around £5 and there are many items in the £10 range.
Coffee mug, 13cm bowl, 20 cm plate around £10
10 cm plant pot around £11
14cm heart plate around £14
Our prices are fully inclusive and there is no studio fee to pay.

Pottery parties cost around £10 per child (£7.50pp option for 15 or more)
Jewellery making parties start at £10 pp

Pottery painting parties at home
Take away packs cost around £10 person

Bead Bar - Make your own fashion jewellery
You can make a necklace for under £10.  Earrings are
around £4, bracelet around £5.  These prices are an 
indication only, the actual cost depends on the materials
used.

Is it safe?

The coloured glazes we use are safe for all.  They are lead free, non toxic and water soluble.  The finished items are permanent and food-safe once they are fired.

Can the item be used?

The finished items are permanent and food-safe once fired. Although most items are dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended to keep your precious items in best condition.  Like all earthenware, the items are NOT suitable for microwave ovens.

How long does it take?

This largely depends on what you choose to decorate. Typically from 45 minutes to a couple of hours.

What do I need to bring?

All materials are provided in the studio. However, you may wish to bring your own brushes. These must be exclusively used for ceramic painting to avoid contamination.

Gift vouchers available?

Gift vouchers are available in denominations of £5 & £10. 
They make a very special experience gift.
A selection of hand made cards is available to present your gift voucher.

Studio staff are on hand to answer your questions, help to select and advise you how to decorate your items.  We have an extensive catalogue of design ideas to inspire you.
