3 pieces of silver jewellery and cover the basic techniques of working
with Art Clay Silver including how to handle the clay, firing, polishing
and finishing. We will cover the technical aspects, different forms

One on one tuition is available if you would like an intensive full day class making silver jewellery. The cost is £150 and includes 20gm of clay, stones and dichroic glass cabachons. You can also get a friend or colleague to come along for an additional £90 (excludes fingerprint jewellery). |

There are many interesting
techniques you can use with Art clay silver
(aka precious metal clay), many of which are similar to using Fimo or
other polymer clay substances. The difference is that with Art Clay
Silver you get solid silver jewellery at the end!
ACS can be combined with dichroic and other fused glass, ceramics, enamels
and resins. The almost endless design possibilities makes this a very
exciting
and rewarding medium to work with.
We have a range of jewellery findings, beads, wires, stringing materials
and other jewellery supplies at reasonable prices to compliment your
finished silver jewellery.
Open Studio sessions - Ideal if you do not
have your own kiln
It is advisable to start with a few simple, yet very effective, techniques
covered in our workshops and then progress to some more challenging designs.
As mentioned above, you may attend our silver jewellery making sessions on
a
time and material basis once you have covered some of the basics (either
with us or elsewhere). Help and advice will be available, however they are
not teaching sessions. It is an ideal way to move forward with your ideas and
techniques, make use of our Kiln firing facilities and try out a range of
tools and equipment before you buy your own supplies.
The cost is £20 for up to four hours which includes kiln firing and use
of all
of our ACS tools and equipment. In addition you pay for any materials
used,
we can supply silver clay at discount prices.
Open Studio sessions currently on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Jewellery Kiln Firing Service
Full load is £10 or £2 per piece. Useful if you have items that can only
be kiln fired or you need to refine a previously fired piece with oil paste.

Starter Kits
Our Starter Kit is available for £59 when you book a course with us and is
ideal
for beginners. It contains Art Clay and Art Clay paste plus the basic
tools to
get you started. We will happily substitute any items you may already
have.
